Aspiring to be a volunteer photographer
Who am I?
My name is Fang Kiang.
I am a student at NUS studying Electrical Engineering.
This is one of my few passions, which I have turned into
a hobby of sorts.

There are several themes I use in my photography.
seeing empathy through the lens I hold
A lot of thought went into creating a name that reflected what I wanted to show my audience.
A joint effort with my friend, uzxpr , birthed this name.
Human connections come from being able to simply feel. I hope to bring happiness and other associated feelings to those who enjoy my art.
humanism and story-telling
Once again, a name created with my friend, uzxpr, to capture something else - humanism in photography.

We tend to capture moments with people because they tell a story, and we all live to tell stories.
Incorporating human experiences into the scenes I shoot is more than just simply that.
I want my work to tell stories that stick.

My Mom, My Inspiration
During my years of growing up, it was rare to see pictures of my mum, my brother, and myself, all in one frame, since she was mainly the one taking pictures of us.
Though I have those memories etched in my mind, I don't have a memorabilia of my family for me to reminisce about.

This made me wonder, could I prevent that for other people?
​
So, I simply offer to help take photos of families whenever I see them out. This way, their family photos will be complete with a keepsake of their memories in the palm of their hands.
